Failed....yet again...

I think I've failed this project....again.  I will get the full year, one year.  I will start back taking pictures for this year....I am aiming for March 1st.

(Has anyone seen my camera's battery charger?  I cannot find it anywhere!!)

Photo 14: Technology

I love my Touchpad.  Even if it is "dead", they are still updating it.  I don't think it's completely dead.  I love being able to flick the apps away.  Too bad HP won't be making the phone anymore; I'd get it if they were when I can upgrade.  But, I will have to get another OS.

Photo 13: DOG!

This is Buddy the dog.  He is our nieces puppy and I must say, he is very cute.  I am not much of a dog person, but this puppy is super adorable.

Photo 12: Last Christmas Picture

This was my new Christmas decoration this year.  My mom gave it to me, and it's just so pretty.  I know the picture doesn't show the detail well (part of my resolution, along with taking a picture every day, is to learn and get better at photography in general), but it is so sweet, with Mary and Joseph holding baby Jesus.  It lights up, but it wasn't showing well in the picture.  Today, all Christmas was finally put away.  Until November.

Photo 11: Blackboard woes

Blackboard sucks, most of the time.  It takes forever to load the course message boards.  I can usually open and look at 3 other tabs by the time the message board loads.  Rather annoying when you have to do coursework by a certain time.

Photo 10: Card Catalog

Card catalogs have become a thing of the past.  At my undergrad university, they use the cards as scratch paper for students, faculty and librarians to use for notes.  At the Los Angeles Public Library, Central Library, they have lined the walls of the elevators with them.  Not only the elevator cars, but the shafts as well!  It is awesome.  I remember using card catalogs through K-12, always loved looking through them to find my books.  Now we have them as decor!

Photo 9: New semester, new books!

Today is the beginning of the Winter semester at Wayne State University.  The required book for one of my courses came today (the other, I am getting a copy from the library tomorrow because my copy has not yet shipped).  I love getting new books; one of the many reasons I am a librarian (in training).

Photo 8: Baby, baby, baby, OH!

Tonight was our niece's birthday party.  She turns 12, and is love with Justin Bieber.  Sigh.  This was her pinata.  Justin Bieber, pink and purple streamers.

Photo 7: Mine!

This is Toshi.  He is guarding his new bag.  No one must touch it, except, when I tried to get a better picture, he ran.  He's a nervous cat.

Photo 6: Hiding kitty

Dorfy decided that my hangers were a good place to sleep....until I caught her.  Sneaky kitty; keeping the door shut only helps a little.  Many times, she opens the closet door herself.  Such a trouble maker!

Photo 5: Sicky Household

We have been a somewhat sick house this week.  I was sick on NYE and New Years Day, pretty much out for the count on NYE.  I felt terrible.  Well, husband has caught it.  He came home from work today, worked at home and was able to relax a bit.  I came home from work with some essentials for him (and us).  Hopefully, he'll feel better tomorrow.

Photo 4: M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E Bathroom

This is our guest bathroom.  My theme is Mickey.  In the reflection of the mirror, you can see the puzzle my husband and I completed, then framed.  The soap dispenser and cup are new gifts from our friends this Christmas.  The other items were gifts and such from my mom.

Photo 3: Queen Dorfy

Dorfy loves to sit on her perch.  She was sitting there tonight, so cute, and I had to take a shot.  When I shot her from the front, she looked like just a head.  So I decided to shoot up.

Photo 2: Minnie Mouse

This is my Christmas gift from my mother in law.  I wore it to work today; still deciding if it's a good idea at work (lots of hand washing, means having to watch the watch).  But it is super cute and I really like it.

Photo 1: 8th Day of Christmas

This is one of my favorite snow globes.  I believe I received it for Christmas 1993; it folds up into a Christmas tree and once open, you have the Nativity.  I love setting this out when I get my decorations out.  I figured, as this is the 8th day of Christmas, this could be my picture of the day.

Taken with Sony Cyber-shot 8.1 mp, macro setting with flash  (old I know, but it still gets the job done)
